Hierarchy request script error

Description
- Using IE11 go to the full featured DEMO page and make a new (empty) page.
- Open the attached page and copy/paste its content to the DEMO page.
- Find the following list item: "1. this list". This is the third line from the bottom.
- Place the caret to the end of this line and press DELETE.
RESULT: You get Hierarchy request script error.
Note: IE9 will not throw error but the cursor will be dropped to an unexpected place.

I was able to reproduce this problem in IE9+ (works in IE8) from CKEditor 3.0.
Error that gets thrown is SCRIPT5022: HierarchyRequestError
