Select all then delete or backspace clears formatting

Happens in Fx and IE7:
1. Set text formatting and type some text.
2. Select all from the toolbar or context menu.
3. Press either backspace or delete, menu formatting is cleared.
4. Note: if instead of delete, you started typing then formatting is not lost.

Confirmed with IE7 and FF2.

Point 4 could be confirmed with IE7 only. In FF, the formatting gets lost in this case too.
